Sucker for Socks

Happy to be back with another post that Tashi and I shot in the Mountains. These photos were quite entertaining to take - from sitting on toilets, putting my feet in the oven (while it was off obviously..) and bathing in fruit loops. If you don't know already, I have a bit of a sock obsession. There's something just so fun about crazy socks - just so you know, I'm wearing ones with seagulls and chips now, while I'm writing this post.

These photos are a bit different to what I usually post on here but I kinda love them - please let me know what you think! I love the glass coke bottle, lollipop and candy apple -  although I dropped the candy apple in the bath accidentally which was kinda sad...

Not much is happening in my life atm - today was the last day of holidays and I got back a few hours ago from another spontaneous trip to the Mountains. Tonight will be spent unpacking and then just getting ready for uni. Really looking forward to semester 2 because I feel like I have a better idea of what's going on now + I'm only at uni 2 days a week!! #keen

Anyway, I will speak to you again soon.

P.S. I've edited a vlog of my first trip to the Mountains and not sure whether to post - let me know what you think!

Orange Picking Shenanigans

Another month has passed since my last post. The reason it's been a while is because I had exams for a few weeks and then was working during the first week of uni holidays. Last Monday, my friend Tashi and I headed to the Mountains for a few days which was so much fun and gave me the opportunity to finally shoot lots of new content (which I'm very excited to show you) - including the post below.

Since I can remember, I've wanted to go pick my own fruit, but for some reason I just never got around to it. On the drive up to the Mountains, Tashi and I managed to find an orange orchard where it was only $15 to pick a hugeee bag! However, when we first got to where we thought we were meant to be, it turned out to be someone's house...

Another half hour drive to the actual place was well worth it. We pranced around, taking lots of photos, chatting and actually picking the oranges. We left the picking right to the end (when unfortunately it started to rain) so we got a bit wet, but had a good laugh nonetheless.

Hope you have all had a lovely month and I'll speak to you again soon...
(hopefully in less than a month!)

Much love,
G x

Little Life Updates

I knew it had been a while since I last posted on here but until about 30 seconds ago, I hadn't realised it had been 3 months?! Last time I spoke to you, I was about one week into uni and now I've finished semester one! I've really been enjoying uni, mainly because of the freedom and I also have been meeting lots of new people.

Last weekend, my friend Caitlin had her 19th which was so nice as I got to catch up with all of my school friends. One of her friends took some photos of the night, which I've posted below.

Since I haven't had time to go out and shoot with Tashi, I've been taking my camera in my uni bag to capture moments from my everyday. I love dressing up and taking cool photos but my favourite photos to look back on are definitely the ones with friends, so I'm going to keep sharing those on here too.

Hope you have been well and your 2017 has been the best year yet (so far)!
Speak soon - hopefully in less than 3 months, but no promises...

Leather Weather

It's getting cold in Sydney, apart from the random heat waves (cheers Sydney), which means my faux leather jacket has made a comeback into my weekly outfits. These photos were taken back when my hair was long but I still looove this outfit. A leather jacket is just so versatile as it can be dressed up with a playsuit or dressed down with jeans and a casual tee.

Thank you to Tashi for trekking all the way to the Botanical Gardens with me to take these photos! Enjoy...

Much love as always,
G x

City of Stars

It's been a while... Last time I sat down and wrote a post, I'd just finished exams. Since then, I've travelled to Los Angeles, New York, Hawaii and Japan, gotten a job in a cafe, started uni (yesterday was my first day) ++ some other things. Life has been busy but also so much fun, hence I haven't had a minute to sit down and write a blog post (also I haven't had a laptop in months, since I had to give my school one back, which has made it quite hard to blog).

As I mentioned before, yesterday was my first day of uni and I actually really enjoyed it. The first lecture was quite long (and a little boring), but the second one was really interesting!

I've been pushing myself to talk to new people. Yesterday I was sitting by myself between lectures, but I made myself get up and go chat to some people - who I then ended up having lunch with and sitting with in the next class. I've found the hardest part is actually having the courage to walk over, but once you're there, it's easy to introduce yourself and almost everyone will be happy to chat to someone new!

...

Oh and I should probably talk about these photos, since that's technically the point of this post! Tashi and I shot this in the holidays (we had been planning it for a while, so I was happy we finally found some time to shoot). I was very happy with how the photos turned out! Although I did manage to look pretty ridiculous in most of them (i.e. the ones not featured in this post), it was still a lot of fun.

Enjoy the photos and I hope you've all had a wonderful 2017 so far - Can't believe it's March already tomorrow...

Speak soon (I promise it won't be another 4 months until you next hear from me)!

New York is Always a Good Idea

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I went on a trip to New York with my grandma at the end of 2016. It was honestly one of the best two weeks of my life and it has made me want to move there after uni (probably not happening, but a girl can dream right?) I hope you enjoy this video I put together with all the snippets I managed to capture of our trip.

Much love as always,

Adventure of a Lifetime

It's been less than a month since my final high school exams finished and so much has happened already! The Thursday afternoon after I finished, my best friend Caitlin and I went to markets in the city before filling ourselves with the most delicious veggie dumplings. We then headed back to my place where we watched movies, ate more food and chatted. The next day I met up for brekkie with another friend, did some more shopping and then got ready with Caitlin and Tashi for a denim themed social (see a pic here). I stayed at Caitlin's place that night, then on Saturday we went to another friend's 18th lunch. The Sunday consisted mainly of me on face-time to Tashi, complaining about packing for the next week (packing is one of my least favourite things to do), but after a 3 hour long call and many Facebook breaks, I had almost finished packing my bag.

The next day, 6 of us headed off to a beach house up north to celebrate finishing school. It was genuinely one of the best weeks ever that involved swimming, hiking, dancing, beach walks, board games, painting, cooking and movies. Half way through the week, 4 guys came up and joined us. On their first night, we stayed up till 4am chatting on the pier and playing board games. Other nights we played touch football at midnight on the beach, ate pizzas and had movie marathons.

Our last day was definitely the best - we all stayed up until 4.30am playing board games and chatting, then Tashi, Elle and I hiked up a mountain to watch the sunrise. We were all so tired after having 0 hours of sleep, but it was totally worth it. We took lots of photos throughout the week which I wanted to post on my blog - partly to show you guys, but mostly so that I can look back at them.

If I have time, I might put together a video of the week and add it below but in the meantime, enjoy the photos and have a lovely week!

Much love,
G x
